Letter to help British MPs on Rohingya issue

The leaders of the United Kingdom branch of Awami League have written a letter to the British MPs urging the Myanmar government to pressurize the government.

The United Kingdom branch of the Awami League has sent a letter to the British MPs calling for pressure on the Myanmar government to ensure the security of minority Rohingya people by abolishing torture and repression.
In the letter given last Thursday, they urged the Myanmar government to take responsibility for the Rohingya people.
The letter was sent to 650 MPs of the British Parliament. These letters were sent to the Postal Management Officer of the Parliament on Thursday, under the leadership of President of the United Kingdom of the Awami League, Sultan Mahmud Sharif and General Secretary Syed Sajidur Rahman Faruque.
The letter, sent to Bangabandhu and Prime Minister's photo-linked United Kingdom unit, said in the letter that after independence, Bangladesh has been providing humanitarian assistance to the Rohingya people as well as addressing the challenges of natural disaster and development. The number of Rohingya refugees fleeing the country to save themselves from the recent torture of the Myanmar army has doubled in the last two weeks, which is more than 8 million.
It is said in the letter that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the Bangladesh government has given shelter to Rohingya refugees in humanitarian thought and working in coordination with international aid agencies. But without global support the work will not last long.
In a letter to the World Community's initiative for permanent settlement of the Rohingya crisis, the letter said that pressure will be made to force the Myanmar government to take responsibility for the Rohingya people. The Myanmar government must ensure that the Rohingya citizenship and civil rights give the people with equal security and equal opportunities.
United Arab League General Secretary Syed Sajidur Rahman Faruque said in the first light, "The government of the United Kingdom has already shown a strong attitude towards the Rohingya issue. But many of the British MPs may not be aware of the Rohingya problem. We want every British MP to know the matter and talk about it. This will strengthen the government's attitude towards the injustice of the Myanmar government to Rohingyas. "
Today, the leaders of the British Prime Minister's office reached the same letter on Friday, party leaders.
