Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya has said that 5,575 people have been registered in the 400,000 Rohingya refugees who have taken refuge in Bangladesh. He said, we have given shelter to Rohingya due to the whole humanity. It is our hope that soon Myanmar will take its citizens back. He said this at a press conference held on Thursday. Disaster Management and Relief Minister said that 14 refugees from 25th August to 20th September have been kept in shelters. For the Rohingyas, 250 metric tons of rice and 20 tons of flour have been found as a help from local and foreign organizations. Besides, the Ministry of Disaster and Relief has allocated 500 MT of rice.

 
He said, the Department of Public Health Engineering supplies water to 14 thousand units every day in Rohingya. Meanwhile, 100 tube wells and 500 temporary toilets have been constructed. Besides, four mobile water treatment pants, which could provide 64 thousand liters of water in eight hours under the supervision of the relief ministry, started working.
