India opens checkpost on Myanmar-Bangladesh border

India has opened two immigration check posts at the border between Bangladesh and Myanmar. Today the news agency PTI reported on Sunday it has been told.
According to a statement from the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs, the checkpost of Surinam border in Lonavlaai district of Mizoram has been approved as an immigration check post. Everyone with valid papers can travel from Myanmar to India or from Myanmar via this check post.
In another notification, the Ministry of Home Affairs said that the Koro Puiquay check post in Lunglei district of Mizoram has been approved as an immigration check post. Through this check post, people of all types, including valid papers, can travel from Bangladesh to India or from India. The area of ​​Kourapukhyahah in Mizoram is an area located on the border of Bangladesh.
Majnaram, the border between India and Myanmar, has been selected as a multi-model project. Suranapui area is located in remote areas of Myanmar's Sittwe port, about 287 kilometers away. In 2012, the agreement was signed during the visit of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to Myanmar. At that time, in a joint statement, she was told that she would be selected as a checkpost.
On September 5, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to Myanmar for the first time as part of the bilateral visit. India has 1,643 kilometer long border with Myanmar. India-Myanmar border is with Arunachal, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram.
India has 4,996 km long border with Bangladesh. Bangladesh has border with Assam, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya and West Bengal.
